Today's Train of Thought- Treading Lightly in River City; Feb 11th, 2011

Today's train of thought brings us back to Chattanooga, TN under somewhat chillier circumstances. Although it can get cold in Tennessee, snow in that part of the Volunteer state is fairly uncommon.

I'm not sure what the roads would've been like that day, but that didn't stop railpictures.net contributor Mark S Wurst (aka the idiot railfan) from venturing out in the white stuff in December 2009 to see what he could find in the winter wonderland.

Here, he managed to catch Norfolk Southern SD60 #6700 negotiating a sweeping curve through a cut with Chattanooga, TN-Rome, GA local G38 on December 5th, 2009. The train is enroute to Chattanooga's DeButts yard to swap out some cars.
