There seems to be something particularly cathartic about seeing that sign coming down some four years after Nancy Pelosi (D- CA: 8th District) promised to 'drain the swamp' and eradicate the 'culture of corruption'. The 112th Congress was sworn in, and I'm pleased to see a good number of names that I recognize from the checks or money orders I was sending off seemingly every week between March and November 2010....almost too many to mention here.
The incoming GOP House Majority will look into some of the earlier activities of the Obama Administration appointees through the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform as well as attempt to thwart the implementation of 0bamacare through defunding key portions of it.
