Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon will resign after reaching a plea bargain for her embezzlement and perjury convictions. One developer gave at least 18 Best Buy gift cards to be donated to needy families through the city, but investigators say that Mayor Dixon (I'll let you guess Dixon's party affiliation- I'm DetermineD to Do so) redeemed them while using her rewards card number. As city council president, Dixon solicited dozens of gift cards from two developers between 2005 and 2006.
As part of the plea bargain, Dixon would be able to keep her pension.
